It only took 70 per cent accuracy to win this week’s World Leagues Predictor, but what our Round 15 winner lacked in quantity she made up for in quality. PanteraRosa foresaw upsets in Paraguay and France and high-returning draws in South Africa and Italy to claim a signed FIFA World Cup™ winner’s jersey. Runner-up IBMIBM1980 finished 25 points behind the leader. Had he backed Sevilla to beat Sporting Gijon, he would have clipped PanteraRosa by a four point margin.

Matchday highlights
Ligue 1 leaders Bordeaux left it late to edge out Lyon 1-0 (79 points). An 85th-minute goal by Marouane Chamakh ultimately decided the match, keeping Bordeaux on top while Lyon continue to linger in mid-table. Meanwhile, In Paraguay, Tacuary beat Libertad 1-0 to knock them off first place (83 points).

Despite losing 2-0 to Boca Juniors (41 points), Banfield claimed their first Argentinian league title in their club history. In Scotland, Motherwell pushed Scottish giants Celtic to the brink, leading 2-1 at half time. Ultimately Marc-Antoine Fortune ensured a Celtic victory with a goal on the 79th minute (23 points).

Leaders
Despite earning some of the lowest returns in the overall top ten, frontrunners dannyvilla and yeremis held their positions at the summit. The two predictors are also the first to cross the 4,000-point mark for the season. Pablo.D.C. is the new contender to watch. The Argentinian has scored 723 points in the last two rounds to climb from 16th into third place. He is now poised within 24 points of yeremis and 79 points behind leader dannyvilla.

Round 16 will be the last round of the year; can dannyvilla hold on to first place or will a new name ring in the new year at the top of World Leagues Predictor?
