The International Football Association Board (IFAB) will today convene for a Special Meeting at the Home of FIFA, and FIFA.com will be providing live streaming from the post-meeting press conference.

The focal point of the meeting, to be chaired by FIFA and its President Joseph S. Blatter, will be the final analysis of the experiment with additional assistant referees in the UEFA Europa League 2009/2010.

Other items pending from this year's 124th Annual General Meeting, including Law 12 (Fouls and Misconduct – Sending-off Offences), Law 14 (The Penalty Kick) and the role of the fourth official, will also be discussed.

The International Football Association Board (IFAB) will convene at the Home of FIFA in Zurich on Saturday 6 March for its 124th Annual General Meeting (AGM). The agenda for the meeting, which will be chaired by FIFA - as is tradition in the year of the FIFA World Cup - includes proposed amendments to Law 1 (The Field of Play) and Law 5 (The Referee) of the Laws of the Game.

Among the matters submitted for discussion are sending-off offences, specifically the act of denying a goal or obvious goal-scoring opportunity; feinting in the run-up to take a penalty kick; the role of the Fourth Official; an update on the ongoing Additional Assistant Referee experiment in the UEFA Europa League, and an update and discussion on the latest developments concerning goal line technology.
